Fall 2025guts. is a small, volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit focused on making mental health support accessible, relatable, and community powered. Through their skills-focused podcast Spill Your Guts., downloadable infographics, community events, and workplace trainings, they offer science-backed tools that people can apply immediately.

When their previous creative lead left the organization and took all existing design assets with them, guts. needed a complete rebrand. The goal was to build a new visual identity that felt fresh and modern while staying true to their mission of delivering practical and evidence-based mental health resources.

Our Role
  •             Kelly Guo (a fellow designer) and I served as the designers for the rebrand, developing a new brand identity and expanding it across all touchpoints. This included logo design, color and typography systems, custom illustration and animation, website restructuring and redesign, print collateral, social media content, email campaigns, and slide decks.

Deliverables
  • Full brand identity system (logo, color palette, typography)
  • Website redesign and rebuild, including accessibility-focused testing and responsive configuration
  • Custom icons, illustrations, and animations
  • Infographics and downloadable worksheets for the Spill Your Guts podcast
  • Social media graphics
  • Email campaign templates
  • Event flyers and additional print materials
  • Branded slide presentations

My Process

  •             My process began with research into other mental health organizations to understand industry visual patterns and to identify opportunities for guts. to stand out. I created multiple rounds of moodboards and explored extensive iterations before moving into final development. During the website redesign, I focused heavily on accessibility and spent time testing structure, sizing, readability, and overall usability.

The final identity is a cohesive, energetic system that advances guts.’s mission while feeling approachable, fun, and evidence-driven. The rebrand not only modernized their presence but also positioned the organization to expand its impact across digital resources, workplace trainings, and community initiatives. With a 2.5-month timeline, the project delivered a fully functional, accessible brand system that the team can now grow with confidence
