Fuomo and Café is a hand-bound booklet created while studying abroad in Italy, crafted with handmade paper and saddle-stitched binding. It serves as a personal reflection on the complex emotional landscape of being abroad—capturing the melancholy duality of growth: the excitement of new experiences and the quiet ache that often comes with change. Through a mix of poetry and linocut imagery, the booklet explores themes of identity, memory, time, and the tension between who we are and who we imagined we’d become. It’s a meditation on the painful beauty of the human experience, and the fleeting, fragile moments we try so hard to hold onto.
